Now offering FREE Breedings for LIFE!

Welcome to Lazy J Alpacas, one of the largest full-service alpaca ranches in the Great State of Colorado.

Established in 2004, Lazy J Alpacas is home to over 45 quality huacaya alpacas, conveniently located in
Elizabeth, Colorado, 45 minutes southeast of Denver or 45 minutes northeast of Colorado Springs.

Here at Lazy J, we are determined to create what we call the "$50,000 Alpaca". 100% Alpaca yarn (imported from Peru) now sells for $85-$135 per pound. Super cashmere yarn sells for $495 per pound. (that’s 582% more.) Due to the unique characteristics of the Alpaca fiber, we believe the Alpaca has the potential to produce a superior quality fiber that sells for a higher price than super cashmere.

When we create the Alpaca that can:

Produce 12 lbs of fiber per year at a 16-19 micron mean diameter with < 15.0% coefficient of variation and a 4-5 inch staple length with 0.0% fibers + 30 over a 10 year production record... we will have an Alpaca undeniably worth $50,000. Please contact us to ask questions or discuss this concept in further detail.

Lazy J Alpacas is currently running a regional sales special offering FREE Breedings for LIFE! (If you can comfortably drive from your place to Elizabeth and back in the same day, you are in the region...) Purchase any one of the females from the list below before June 1st, 2008 and she will receive a free breeding to any wholly-owned Lazy J sire each year she continues to breed, for as long as you continue to own her. If THAT wasn't a good enough offer, we're making each free breeding fully transferable for use on any dam that you own. (Please contact us for further details.)

If you are looking to get started in the alpaca business or increase the size of your current herd, this is an offer you shouldn’t pass up. In order to make the greatest genetic improvements in the least amount of time and to broaden the genetic pools of their herds, many alpaca breeders utilize outside breedings. Usually priced from $1000 to $5000 each, with some as high as $7500, or even $10,000, the cost to breed your females each year can add up quickly. Purchase one of these quality ladies and forget about future breeding expenses. For LIFE!
